a twist

patty cake, patty cake
got some hemp
lets all get baked as fast as we can
roll it, spark it, pass it 'round and see
how we'll get toasted with this great weed!

not only is the word "NO!" boogie's fave word, but yelling seems to be her favourite form of expression. this morning, i think i said to her something like "we're gonna changer ur diapie (diaper)" and she said "no diapie!" to which i asked "are you a little nazi?" to which she of course replied "no nazi!" ha! now that i think of it, when we were just visiting the inlaws during the weekend, we went to the beach, and boogie's nose was running, and she tried to wipe it with her sand-laden hand, ending up with a little sand moustachio, so i told her she's got a little hitler-moustache, but that it doesnt suit a little girl.
other things that sound funny at the time, but sound absolutely horrible, sick, insane and all that good stuff outside said time? something a friend of mine and i touched upon during a short conversation today - a parent yelling at their kid "when i smack you, your head will fall off with the lungs!" roughly translated, but you might get the picture.
or something like "if you dont stop that, mommy will kill herself." to which the dad adds "if mommy kills herself, then dad will commit suicide too. but first will kill you kids. it'll be a gory murder-suicide. then i'll choke myself with my own guts."
sounded funny at the time :)
ok, its super late, gats ta go

i've been promissing myself that i'd put up a post about this or that for a while now - so i'll do it now - just before going to bed. btw - holly shizznit - its almost a quarter to 1 am!!!

i just farted a midget fart, and after i "cought wind" of it, i said something like "man, i need a filter". Phx didnt hear what i'd said, so i said louder "i dont think i'd pass aircare!" she giggled :)

and i just got an emergency page - some dude freaked out b/c their condo alarm was going off in the middle of the night, and he didnt know how to turn it off. they'd managed to chop the siren wires before i called them back, though. so i encouraged him to chop some more, since he sounded concerned that it might start going off again :)
a few nights ago the pager went off and i actually had to go downtown at 2 am because no card-readers were working at one of the highrises at this one project. people werent able to get into their building and up to their floor, unless the concierge was escorting them with his keys. of course, it turned out to be a loose wire - how cliche. but i'm supposed to get $300 for emergency service, so hopefully i actually get to see this money. if not, i'm throwing the fucken pager away - the boss can go look for it.

and in BIG NEWS - WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BABY BOY!!! :D
so thats gonna be cool - have one of each. so much for my aunt's prediction that i'll have two girls and my brother just one boy.

still havent fixed my car - but i'm working like crazy now, so i dont have the time. i dont think i've posted about the car, but my wheel basically fell off - good thing i was basically standing still. one of the ball joints tore apart. it turns out that crappy ball joints caused a recall in those cars. i believe the dealer said they checked out every recall and performed it on this car, but maybe i should check on that particular one - would they fix the car for free? i guess its worth checking. if i ever get any time from work. i've got 3 projects, and all of a sudden i find out that all 3 of them will need to be completed by the end of november. that's not looking very promising now, maybe mid-december - certainly before christmas, at least i hope so. i knew one of them was happening this year. i thought another son after it, but the 3rd one i was counting on not finishing until spring or summer. so i asked and asked for more guys, and the bosses kept brushing me off, until i told my boss that occupancy is in a month and we got fuck-all done for access control runs. that finally seems to have gotten through to him, because i started getting more and more guys. all of a sudden i had to switch from physically working to just running around, trying to plan and make sure that i know what needs to be done, what can be done, how many guys i'll need for that, find something else to do for the rest of them, make sure we have enough materials and tools - which we never do, and just do a lot of babysitting and hand-holding, because the morons i keep getting just hardly know how to do anything. but if i plans things well enough, at least something will get done. so thats a different kinda stress. now i'm there when they're all there, and i'm there after they've gone, to clean up, organise, and try to plan what can be done soon. keeping the other 2 sites in mind and trying to prioritise between all. i never got any training on managing anything, so its pretty hard. i guess i'm learning, but i hate this sink-or-swim shit. and since i'm on salary, all i can do is to hope that all this overtime will convert into time off for christmas - but i'm kinda skeptical that the projects will be done in time. i just want it to be over. and then every now and then the boss or the receptioninst, having some stupid little service or project for someone to do ask "Tom, how busy are you?" to which i answer "extremely". but there's still some things that no one else can really do very well, like service at a project that no one else has ever been to but me and 2 guys who no longer work for the company. i dont know who's gonna be servicing that when i quit. maybe they could sub it out to me - i'd get a bigger cut of the service monies, i'd say a bit over half would be good.

anywho - there's work to do and phx is having a tough time being 6 months pregnant, so i better quit fucking around on the comp and go help. i'll probably write again when the kids go to school :D

i just saw this movie "sideways" and this movie "hellion". hellion turned out to be an australian movie. sideways had a guy who was about to marry in a week , screwing this chick he just met 3 ways from sunday. i thunk it was kinda... uncool. i was hoping he would decide not to marry the chick he was gonna marry - would have been probably better for her too. but hey - he screwed her good. his wife not-to-be and his... fuck-puppet. well, he actually did marry the chick he was going to. after being severily beaten with a motorcycle helmet. felt pretty good :)
this must have been the first, or one of the first times that i'd gotten drunk on red wine. red wine and ginger ale.
pok 0 wine caa in ye poj0ghiste snnnns

ok - i have no idea what that that just said - but i sure hope that its not a nobel morir

which again - i dont kno what thsats about, but i hope every one enjoys themselves;)

ciao! ;)

CFA Solutions

went to help out a buddy today at the site he runs, and i guess he's somewhat frustrated with the way the company runs, especially at this point, when his building has to be ready for the occupancy readiness inspection, and he's not ready, in part due to the company. at any rate, we were hard at work at the local coffee shop, when phx calls me from her commute from her day-job to her tutelage-job, and got increasingly annoyed at the traffic while on the phone with me, producing ever more colorful expletives. i dont know, but somehow i thought at that moment that it was cute the way she cursed, maybe a good choice of words. at any rate, one particular "bouquet" stuck in my mind, and i told the guys how my baby just called her current traffic jam situ a "cluster-fuck of assholes" :D
to which my buddy responded that THAT is what our company should be named! that was funny :) i should get started on making a logo :) have t-shirts, put the logo on soup cans, cd's, what have you :)

the week just keeps getting better :)

granted - monday sucked. but tuesday was deffinitely better - and now at the end of wednesday i'm really happy :)
just got back home from watching the old Dune movie at my parents'. and my gf liked it! :D
hella cool :)
i just need to find the looong version somewhere, on dvd if i can. i'm already asking my gf if she wants to see the remake and then the children of dune.
its been a while since i first saw that movie in its entirety - on acid :)
that same night i also saw the new version. and i've seen the old version a few times since, and it still reveals something new to me every time i see it. i think i'd give partial credit for liking the movie to acid's "awe and wonder" effect, but every time i've seen it after (straight), that's only been reinforced. one day i've got to find the time to read the book - there must be so much more in there than even the "looong" version of the movie is able to convey! hehe - i wonder if there's a version of it on tape or cd somewhere...
i used to read so much, i loved it! but since i started working - there's just been no time. working and partying. and watching tv. and got a car. and loans. and a gf. now i dont even have time to party. hardly ever at all. and the only reading i ever do is online. or tech manuals.
whine whine - bitch bitch.
this really cool portuguese guy Antonio who's about 50 sometimes starts talking about his problems, like many other people, but then he stops himself and says "ah, but thats my problems - u dont need to hear about that". and one time he threw in "in my language we say 'but lets talk about better things. so whats the price of a funeral these days?'" dude's hilarious. he'd recently moved here with his wife and 2 kids pursuing a dream, an adventure - to live in the beautiful experiment in true multiculturalism that canada is. but its tough to start from scratch. at 50. but he's glad he's pursuing his dream - despite their difficulties and disillusions. a runaway mid-life crisis? perhaps - but what an effect! what an adventure! and he can still decide to go back home if things dont work out here. and he will be that much richer a person. very interesting and inspiring dude to listen to.
ok - time for beddy ;)
